Opened by Carl Serpe in 1977, Leaning Tower of Pizza is the oldest restaurant in Pasco County and a central hub of the community. Great atmosphere.A New Port Richey landmark that offers a full Italian menu, hand tossed New York style pizza, a gluten-free menu and a growing selection of craft beers. Tastes vary and they would not have been here 40 years plus without a customer base who likes their style of thin crust. I would put Palermo's and Pizza Gallery as having much better thin crust. Overall there was nothing outstanding about the pizza, a typical thin crust. Crust or heel though was hard and dry which I don't like. It was good and remarkable they did not overbake floor, and burn or dry it out. The thin crust pizza may be the thinnest crust I have seen. Salad was disappointing, did not seem that fresh as compared to Palermo's or Pizza Gallery and it had too much dressing. I had a slice of pepperoni a lettuce salad with Caesar dressing and water to drink. If you want a salad and a slice and a beverage you have to buy individually. Their lunch specials are a full size pizza. I went there for the thin crust pizza to see how it compares with others I have had in Melbourne. More so in that everybody who came in at lunch were apparently regulars. Offers table service and has 14 or so booths. Traditional pizzeria with various Italian foods.
